EXO K & M Album Review~

So I recently bought both versions of Overdose from kpoptown.com
Both albums shipped on May 22, and I received them on June 9th which is a little over two weeks (18 days). I was really excited by that because on past album purchases it has taken up to a whole month to get to my house. The boxes were in mint condition and weren't missing any items inside either.
Also, both album can be bought here: Exo-M and Exo-K Overdose

EXO-M is the one on the bottom and EXO-K is the album on top.

I had to open M's first  because my bias is Tao and I wanted to see if i got his card (I did not):

I was super pleased with the card I got though, since I didn't previously own any exo albums and I really wanted a Kris card. The super funny thing about both albums though, is that I got both leaders:

Now, on to the music review:

The Track List for both boxes:
1. Overdose
2. Moonlight
3. Thunder
4. Run
5. Love, Love, Love
6. Overdose (EXO ver.)

Though I have never owned an album from EXO, I have personally listened to all of their songs and I gotta say that this album is personally my favorite. In simple words, it is a love song/break up album.

-Overdose, just like the title, is a song that I could literally listen to on repeat ten or more times before I have to change the song. It is super catchy and the dance is crazy awesome. Between the two sub-groups I like Overdose in Korean better.
-Moonlight is basically a duet between Baekhyun and D.O in EXO-K and bewteen Luhan and Chen in EXO-M. It is a slow song, but with a lot of power in it, which is to be expected with the main vocalists singing it. Just for the fact of D.O's vocals, I listen to the Korean version of the song more than I do the Chinese version.
-Thunder is the song that I love the lyrics of the most. It is a very upbeat sounding song for what they are actually singing about. Their harmonizing in Thunder is pretty intense and I like how they switch up pretty evenly in this song with who is singing. I actually listen to Thunder more in Chinese because it sounds slightly different in the music than the Korean part at times and I like it better that way.
-Run is personally my favorite song on the track and I listen to it usually only in Chinese. The cute little chanting, if that's what you'd call it, in the begging is super cute. It's a song that makes you want to just get up, and well, run. The lyrics are adorably cute and I always find myself rocking out to it.
-Love, Love, Love is the song that really stands out in the track. While the others are either calm or energetic, they all still fall in the same basket for me. Love, Love, Love is more...hip hop? There is more rapping in it and it has that old Asian instrument flare to it. Kind of biased on my part, I listen to this song more in Chinese because Tao has more parts in it, but besides that I would listen to it in Korean just as much.

Seriously, if you have the chance I would listen to the whole album if you haven't already because I personally think it's that good. I have all the songs on my phone and listen to them pretty much all the time.
I would give this album a 8.5-10 for my tastes! SUPER GOOD! <3

First Post

Hi! This is just a basic post to start this off and say a quick thought or two on what this blog is going to be about.

I will be posting about music I like (new or  old), books I have read or are going to read, places I travel, and new things I eat. I will be posting anything from reviews to personal adventures that I go on.

The tab for Tumblr is my own personal account and the photo tab leads to a Tumblr that I will be posting pictures on for this blog; pictures, that in a year, will be about my trip to South Korea.

Basically this blog is just a diary on the things that happen in and around my life. I want to be able to write it all down and share it with people who like the same things...so here I am.

Welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy~ <3
