So from 6/26-6/29 I was in Miami for the Block B concert that was being held on the 27th at the Jackie Gleason Theater. I traveled with three other friends who also love Block B and we met up with even more people once we got into Miami; it was about a five hour trip, but sooooo worth it. Anyways, this is going to be a recap of the event, a talk about the fans, and the experience of getting a high-tough (high five) with all the members.
Before the concert we all spent an hour getting our makeup and hair done because we knew there was a chance that we were going to meet our biases. I didn't do much with my clothes though; just a pink tank top and some jean shorts.
Anyways~ onto the actual story! lol
We arrived to the theater the second the doors opened, but there was a line basically around the building
that we had to get in first before entering. Which ended up being fine since we made friends with a bunch of girls in line with us.
Personally I only bought two items that totaled 60 dollars; which, let me tell you, is a total rip off, but I really wanted them. The hat was $45 and the pins were $15. There were also light sticks, but they were the plain clear ones and were about as much as the real ones that you can buy off of
ebay (the black and yellow ones), so I didn't buy one.
The venue itself was HORRIBLY organized. Basically only ONE staff member out of all of the staff knew where the seats were, so we were thrown in every direction possible before someone finally pointed out correctly where our seats were. We made it to our seats just in time to get settled and look at our surroundings (ten minutes or so) before the curtains opened to Block B's Very Good.
We weren't allowed to take videos or pictures during the concert, which wouldn't have stopped me, except that one of the Korean staff members was sitting behind me the entire time *sigh*
There were four breaks taken during the concert for the members to ask questions and to participate. The first break was a Q&A with the host of the show, who could not host shit if her life depended on it (the translator ended up hosting the whole thing, basically, after the first break because the host had no idea what she was doing). The second break involved the members picking seat numbers out of a box to have them sit on stage while Block B sung to them and gave them roses. The third break involved the members picking new seat numbers for those attendees to come up on stage and play a game with them. They ended up playing a type of charades with Taeil, Jaehyo, and Bbomb on one team and Ukwon, Kyung, and P.O on the other team (Zico was the judge). Both teams came up with ridiculous names, Jaehyo's team was 'oh boy' and Ukwon's team was 'turned up'. The fourth break involved the members asking each other questions about random things to make the fans happy.
An example that really happened (words may be a little off):
P.O: Zico, why are your lips so sexy?
Zico: To kiss my future girl with
another one was:
Zico: Would you date an American girl?
Kyung: HELL YEAH HELL YEAH HELL YEAH
At the end of the concert they came back out a number of times to do extras. They sung two/three more songs, came out to take a picture with all the fans in the background, and then Jaehyo had to do his punishment from 5MBC that he got from getting last place in the episode before leaving South Korea.
The only disappointing thing for me the whole time was where we were sitting. I personally liked where I was at first because we were the first row on the second floor/balcony thing, so no one was in front of us and we could stand or sit the whole time and still see them (I stood the whole time). But, the only two members that actually looked up and acknowledged the top floor were Kyung and Bbomb. I'm not complaining about those two, but it would have been cool if the other members could have acknowledged us as well.

At the end of the concert everyone rushed down to the lobby to get in line to high five the boys (who were personally high-fiving everyone who went that night if they wanted to get in line and wait that long. I personally don't really remember Jaehyo's and P.O's high five, but I remember the others. The most memorable thing happened to me durring that time as well. I had wanted to say Saranghae (I love you) to Jaehyo since he is my bias, but I got too scared to and opted out as I high fived him (let me tell you...He is SO handsome in person..his eyes and face are just...perfect). There was a male fan in front of me so the boys sadly payed more attention to him until the last two in line (Kyung and Taeil). Kyung actually grabbed my hand in leaned in while smiling at me which threw me off by a lot because I was so shocked. Also, I don't care what anyone else says, Kyung is reallly good looking in person; I don't understand why people say he is ugly!? Then Taeil was up and he almost didn't high five me because he was talking to the man in front of me, but then he turned around real fast and leaned back to high five me because I was already almost passed him. Then he kind of kept his hand on mine and let it slide off as I walked instead of pulling away for the next person which set me on edge again because I wasn't expecting it.
Here's a very bad picture where you can make out Zico (blonde hair and white shirt behind the bald guy) in the background as the start of the high fives:
The only thing I missed the whole night was that after the whole line of fans had gone through, all the members of Block B left the building through he crowd to get onto their bus. That would have DEFINITELY been a great experience but I'm not too sad that I missed it since I got to high five them and all. ALSO, their hands are all SUPER soft, except for Ukwon's lol. His hands were still soft, but rougher than the other members. I have to say all of them had softer hands than a lot of girl friends I have...which is impressive.
The boys were all super sincere and happy the whole night. You could tell that they were hot and tired from dancing and singing all night but they never let their smiles falter as the lines of fans went through.
The fans were also surprisingly all really nice for the most part. since it was organized to so bad at the beginning, more fans were helping each other find the right seats than the staff was, and no one was rude when you asked them for help. Everyone I talked to was happy to talk back about Block B and other kpop groups. The BBC's are seriously one of the best fan-bases that I had read about online, but in person it is really true.
OVERALL this was one of THE best concerts I have ever been to in my life. It would have been nice to have been longer (it was about an hour and a half long), but still super awesome! I will definitely be going to their next concert in America whenever it happens and wherever it is!
Extra video footage a friend of mine took while going through the High Touch with Block B. She put another friend's phone in her pants and recorded her going through, which is why the quality isn't that good, but it was the best she could do at the time:
The line went: Zico, Bbomb, P.O, Ukwon, Jaehyo, Kyung, Taeil~
